The Most Fatal War

The War that cost the most lives was World War Two. It is estimated that the death toll was between 50 and 60 million although it is not completley accurate.

The war started when Germany invaded Poland in 1939, however it is known that Hitler had been building up his army for quite some time and that he practised techniques in the Spanish Civil War. Many believe that the allies should have stopped Germany earlier before their army was ready, but the allies chose to ignore it until it had to intervine.

The war offically ended on August 15, 1945 when the Japonese finally surrendered after having two atomic bombs being dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
